Yep Joey, the whole truck is like that! It's like they gentrified a Defender with employees they got from the old Morgan factory now in their 70's and drinking the ale during assembly! They were in a rush to get it out the door... Discovery was a hit and business was good. -
Sun roof drain causing leaks on a 99 lrd2
The forward 2 sunroof drains run from the front corners of the drain pan and down the door posts to exit just behind the front wheels. The rear 4 sunroof drains exit the pan at each corner of the pan and down through the body panels. Suggest keep it simple with a small 1 quart flower watering... -

Follow up: I had professional headliner shop fix it and it's good ($376). However, the drain tubes were one problem. The pan had a 'V' shaped notch in the sunroof drain pan, where Land Rover had hung the end of tube and applied glue/goop to hold it in place. This glue dried off and the tube... -

Thanks Joey: I found the complete instructions with the pictures, they are excellent. I was thinking of just pulling the cloth only off the backer board and painting the backer board/headliner in place without removing it, with a brush! With all the other stuff that can go wrong this 2004... -

With all the trouble that headliners can cause does anyone think I should just pull the headliner down, vacuum up the foam and give it a coat of heavy paint applied with a brush? It is after all just a truck! -

I didn't try your solution, but I could see it coming! What worries me is Land Rover didn't see it coming! Now my headliner is falling down due to sunroof drain blockage! Rovers are a nightmare of details! -

I was thinking the exact same thing, just screw it down with washers and screws. I suspect we should ask Joey and Mike what's the longest screw we can drive into the dash and not damage things under the dash. Another possibility is to put some glue under that front edge then lay a carved... -

I would not make huge changes to a Discovery just so you can pull or tow. There are some previous discussions about this on these forums, and by the time you change everything to accommodate towing the expenses are VERY high. When I tried to tow with mine I was constantly having to correct... -

I wouldn't do it. The wheelbase on the Discovery is short so it wanders back and forth and tip overs have been known to occur. Safe towing requires a longer wheel base, or make the load short like the Rover it's self. Adding to your fleet WILL be cheaper and safer. -

Incomplete radiator flush leaving trapped air in the system, can cause overheating and blow the head gasket or warp the heads. Be sure and listen to Mike about the proper way to perform it on these unique vehicles. -

The code is NOT on the radio unless a previous owner put it there. The factory CD changer is a bit tricky. It uses an older talkback protocol not found on the newer radios. -
