Distance from ball to safety chain hooks

All LR4's come with the hitch mount. After reading the options on the website it sounds like if you paid for the Tow Package @ $650 you should get the accessory you listed above. The quick release goes into this spot:

Once you have the accessory above you then get your hitch with a ball and insert it into the accessory.

You should never leave either of these items permanently on your vehicle.

Trying to adjust length of way-long safety chains to work on both LR and Touareg, where the ball is about 9 inches behind chain hooks. Is this about like '15 LR4?

I would be very cautious on "Factory Style" rails. These are knockoff made in China crap. I had some on my RRS and they broke off while I was washing my car.
