I think I am going to run thr switch by it self, not tapped into anything. I just have to run the wire through to the dash to connect to my switch??

A lot of views but no responses.
Does anyone know how to enter the dash from the engine side?

I am doing a fog light install and I am trying to run wires through to my aftermarket switch, which will be installed on my center console dash.

THe hard way is in the wiring loom grommet above the dead pedal (to the left of the brake pedal). On the engine bay side, this is under the master brake cylinder. The easy way is through the grommet for the steering column.

Thank you!
Once I go through the steering wheel, is it easy to run to the center console? I will have the center console revmoved off course.
Is the grommet made of rubber, can I just poke a whole with a hanger fish wire through? this is what i did when I installed fogs on my previous vehicles, is it that easy?

Is the picture below the grommet you are talking about? Can I run the fog light wires through this section? Let me know, thanks:smile:

Yes, that's it exactly. Poke as small a hole as possible, then seal it afterward's with black silicone. Be sure the wire is as far from the steering column as possible, and routed in such as way as to not foul it it.

Great!
I'm going to tackle the job this weekend, I'm guessing the wire will come out somewhere under the steering wheel.
Once I get the wire inside the vehicle, i'll re-route it to the center console. Let me know if I am wrong in my assumptions.

Its probably easier to start from the interior inside, poke through, then pull it from the engine bay. Depends on your connectors. I always put the connector on last, and feed the wires through from the interior.

To improve access under the dash, the panel directly under the steering wheel (the one with the little vent in it), just pulls straight out. BUT, there are two little spring loaded metal clips that will launch themselves out into some indeterminable knook or cranny and you'll never find them again. Put a towel or something over the panel when you pull it off.
