Who's running Cooper STT's???

So I have come to conclusion that the Cooper Zeon LTZ's are not the best tires for south Louisiana clay mud. Don't get me wrong they are awesome tires, just not for the terrain I subject them too. They slick up and become useless. Do you advise running the mods with the Cooper STTs full time? Will they rub? How would you compare the STT's to the MT/R's? Just getting ****** cause I am realizing I can't fully enjoy my rover down here in the swamps. It does get stuck (As you have seen from pictures) and let me tell you; that heavy ***** can become quite difficult to get out when you buried up to your headlights.

From my research the STT's will do better in mud, the MT/Rs are more of a rock tire. The only downside I've found that's kept me from pulling the plug on the STTs is that they are a load Range C and our "heavy *****" really deserves a Load Range E, but then again the dudes over at Rovertym have been running STTs on their LR3 and its a beast... You may want to check out the Dunlop Rover Maxx Traction, its a "MT" in the same size and its a Load Range E, + its a great price


Oh and you'll definitely need to run the rods for them not to rub bouncing around in those swamps

I just got back from a Land Rover event in Hot Springs Ar. There were 4 other LR3's running 275/65 R18 and one running the 285/60's. It's a nice looking tire, mildly aggressive. Not sure if they're any better than my terra grapplers. I'll probably go with the zenons next.

I am currently running the Cooper Zeons. Great tire, but tread is not good for mud. So I might have some 265 65R18 coopers for sale soon. Only have about 6k on them.

Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac 275/65-18, E load rating, might be a good option.

I am totally happy with the STT's. We were wheeling in the muddy sand washes of Sand Canyon last weekend and they worked effortlessly. The truck in front of me [DuckDive/Jerry] runs the AT Zeons and didn't have trouble through. Airing down helps clear the tread pattern but an AT will never do what a MT will do...by design.
