I always try to park my rovers near other rovers. If its my LR4, I also raise it. Makes the other owner look twice. If there isn't a rover, I pick on jeeps.

Looks awesome - wow, great progress. I can't wait to see the finish product. I am currently trying to figure out light options, as I want four lights for my roof rack (has tabs to mount them in front). I think the driving lights look good in the front, but I can see why you say it looks like a Mini. Unfortunately, I do not know much about lighting or the installation, so doing some research and getting some opinions. Bushaway (Brandon) recommends the Rigid lights - I really like them as well. Just need to figure out what I need to get and how it all comes together.Getting closer. Winch mounted, wired in with Hella cutoff to battery (keyed). lights mounted though I'm not yet wedded to them. Was trying to go minimalistic but they seem to make the front end look like a Mini. Anyway, finishing up assembly and the wiring for the LED DRL's. Tons of hours in this entire thing. But well worth it. Hopefully can wrap us the details today.
I like the round and the rectangular. Rigid makes some cool rectangular lights that would look nice with the lines of my roof rack. I have the four mounting brackets, but still trying to figure out the wiring. I saw the wireless kits, and thought it was probably best.I can't promise a lot of mid install pics. My iphone is also my music hub when in the garage.And it has been hot and humid so the last thing I think of is pics. But will do my best and can walk you through it.
Anyway, on the Rigid versus Hella piece, I'm a fan of the round traditional lights. I'm in the midst of converting the 4000 driving lights on my d-90 to HID. The ones installed here are pencil beam and I expect to upgrade those to HID as well. I'm more focused on the quality of the reflector and how much light it directs further down-range than being bright up close. We'll see I guess.
One thing I would recommend is going with a wireless controller for the lights. I suggested this to Brady who saw fit to publish it. It is pretty nice to not have to access the cabin through the firewall (though the LED DRL's required this). And if you are like me and have barn doors to your garage, no garage programming needed and you have 3 spare RF buttons stock...![]()
