X2 that something is in the way.. I just did all 3 pumps, didn't reset anything, and the gage read properly from the first start.. As you know it's tight in the fuel tank, I'm guessing something is either hitting the arm, or the arm assembly is loose in there..

I HATE to say this, but I think the tank has to come back down..

Did you find the solution to this. I have a pretty wild fuel issue with my l405( same engine as yours ) and I didn’t think the two were related but I have gone through 2 alternators as well and now have strange fueling issues. First was a reman from the parts store to get us home then after doing some other work to the car on a first start I had a charging fault, turned out to be another bad alternator. Replaced with DENSO new but still have the fueling issues.
