Hey gents. Just picked up a 2011 LR4 Lux. Here is quick pic. Ill do a formal introduction a bit later after I get her cleaned up and some work done.

This LR4 is supposed to be the "AMBIENT LIGHTING-INTERIOR" package. I took a quick video to show some flickering on the door sill lights as well as the interior dome lights.

Ive already figured out that the door sill lights are just bad and need to be replaced. But... my question is on these dome lights. They are very very bright and an LED of some sort. Maybe an Ebay special?

The third row has incandescent bulbs but the rest of the beast has these LEDs. No way that is OEM.

Yep, someone has put in LEDs. Definitely not manufacturer spec. How is the health of your battery? It could explain the starting issues as well as the LED flicker. The LEDs need a set voltage to operate properly, whereas incandescent will just dim in low voltage.

Ha. That starting video was my old LR3 years ago... right before the starter went out. ;)

So the LED flicker is the fixture because when I swap them with a perfectly working fixture they work fine.

Can someone grab me the PN for lamps off of their OEM ones?

Are your under door lights LEDs?

I replaced mine with LEDs but i left the front dome incandescent and the middle row dome a red LED so I can see the kids at night and the light doesn't wake them when you open the door. Very effective.

Nice. The LEDs that were in this thing were crazy bright. Way to harsh on the eyes imop. What LEDs did you go with?

Oh ours are super bright too which is why the only one that is a white LED that comes on with the door opening is the rear cargo because it is dark as night back there and this lights it up. Not sure as to which ones, we have a guy in our local Rover club who is all about LED everything so he hooked me up.
