Full time 4 wheel drive

I know this seems like a crazy question but is the LR3 actually full time 4 wheel drive or do only the rear wheel provide traction until they detect a slip? Thanks

That is why they have a center differential to distribute the power between the front and back. It locks and unlocks, depending on the situation and your terrain response setting. Without the center diff, you would have to have hubs on the front wheels to reduce the wear on the front differential.

anyone know the power out put under normal driving? How much front and how much rear.

Just taking a wild guess that it's 50/50 until something changes. Can't see why it'd be anything else, but I'd love to learn something new!

The center differential is a variable mechanical locking diff. So under normal operations power goes to all wheels assuming all wheels have equal traction.
