Cruise control unavailable?

Got that warning on my long trip this weekend. Only thing I did recently was replace the main battery and install fuse taps for the dash cam. I looked at the fuses that make sense to check (although none of the pictures on the fuse diagrams really look like cruise control so I am not sure) and nothing is blown. Any leads on what causes this? It seems to me that it would be something simple like a fuse but none of them are obviously CC or blown for that matter.

Discovered what this is. Low battery. Amazing what things a low battery will key off.

Hate to revisit this thread but my cruise is acting up again. I got a new battery and then it was fine. But I rarely use it. And then it wasn’t fine again. Charged the battery to full (thanks crappy BMS) and tried to no avail. Then it started working again intermittently. It seems totally random. I replaced the brake light switch and tried again. No luck.
I don’t have a IID tool. We cleared the codes at my Indy and no luck.
It comes on sometimes and most of the time no. suggestions?
I don’t think it’s the clock spring because the button activates the “cc unavailable” light and all the other functions work.
It’s my understanding that this is electric CC not vacuum like the ok’d trucks right?
What else to check?

It is all electronic.

Possibly check the condition of the actual switches (not sure how to open up the steering wheel)

There are some posts in the LR3 section about the same issue.

Shot in the dark, but make sure your brake lights work (maybe check each individual diode)

Not sure about the LR4s with the LED tail lights, but on my previous car if a brake light was out the cruise control wouldn’t work.

Maybe there’s a connector somewhere that’s wiggling it’s way out. I’m not sure what you could check without referencing some service diagrams.

Hope these help. The black is hardwired, yellow is high speed canbus, and red is LIN.

Thanks. I’ll dig into these. I did look at the brake lights. They work, at least from a cursory inspection. By that I mean that they light up when stopped. If there is n intermittent connection issue I don’t know. Can’t see them when driving.

Update. Cleared all codes. This is the only one that popped after driving it and attempting to use the cruise control to no avail.
