I leave mine lowered most of the time when parked and the compressor fires up right away.

Are you still getting the intermittent fault light?

The fact that the compressor motor is still running is not confirmation of a healthy compressor. A faulty compressor is typically charaterized by being weak, rather that a total failure. I know first hand, I am on my 4th compressor, and only one of them totally stopped working (red fault light).

If you are still getting the amber fault light (about 2 minutes after startup), then you should get the codes read at the dealer.

No light today. Knock on wood.

Well it has a 600 mile drive tomorrow, so it's getting driven weather it wants to or not. It'll be into the dealer soon for another part that was ordered (seat belt trim).

Ok, good luck. Time to get out for another try then ;)

To clarify some of the prior posts, it is normal for the EAS compressor to run when you start the LR3 (rare coil spring models excluded :)

After reading this thread yesterday, i had the same orange icon come on too. I was unable to raise/lower the suspension. I think it read something like "normal level suspension fault>" It went off after a few minutes and then came on again today. At 64k, I still have the original compressor. since some of you have replaced yours multiple times with less mileage than me, I guess the compressor does not have a particular life span based on time or mileage... I might wait a few more days and monitor how often it goes on/off...and then take it in...or should I not take any chances and just take it in tomorrow??? thanks.
