Nathan,

There is plenty of that kind of stuff at the LRE schools, too...particularly in Montebello. The only thing I haven't gotten any of is mud, because of the time of year and locations. It rained before my latest Carmel experience, but not enough. I thought going in November would be good for that, but not muddy really.

di_LR3_CO....how did the LR3 perform in the mud?
What kind of tires was the vehicle wearing? Thanks !
truck handled pretty well in the mud, considering it had the stock goodyears on it.. i was actually a bit concerned when we went down to, what i would consider, a bog (remember i am in CO :) .... but, other than sliding a bit towards some trees (fun when you are driving someone else's truck), it did not have any problems.

i only did the 1-hour tour, as i was a bit skeptical the 6 hour one would be worth it.. but, i will definitely be doing another one once i get a business opportunity that brings me near carmel or montreal...

The 6-hour one is awesome and worth it....because you get into more situations and really learn/develop skills like left-foot-braking and managing cross-axle situations.

So...it had the Goodyear HPs? Wow, I thought they'd have the MT/Rs there for sure.

Thanks....

Nathan....Iceland?

We'll be working on our hallmark trip calendar in the new year, planning for the nicer weather. In the meantime, we'll be adding regular trail runs every month [in the SoCal area] with unlimited training while on the trail. The runs will be full day and multi-day so there's plenty of seat-time. The hallmark trips will be more "pampered at the solon" for our Rover Widows.

Adam & Nathan,
You had me at hello, I mean Iceland.
Keep me in the loop for your upcoming adventures, especially Iceland! I'm sure most of us would put that one on the calendar. I would assume there is some planning involved to export our Rovers to greet us there, and possible mods? Especially if the outing you have in mind is anything like the June LRL article on the Rover Club in Iceland... they had some serious mods to handle the deep snow & still got stuck? http://www.islandrover.is/myndir/showphoto.php?photo=1913&cat=594

Keep on Offroving, you're on to something great!
Cheers!
Charles
