The seat memory feature was the exact reason we ended-up ordering an HSE-LUX. I can see nicer leather, the center console refrigerator and a better sound system being "luxury" items. But seat memory should have been standard on all models - like power windows.

Whoa, luxes have nicer leather? dag nabbit...

I 100% agree but such is life and thus the question.

Mirror memory comes with the seat memory feature. I agree...I set the rear mirror view wider to cover the side blind spots while my wife sets it for the view behind the LR4.

I have a 2015 LR4 HSE. After reading this post and the other thread associated with this, I went ahead and track down a 2015 LR4 memory control from a LUX. Absolutely no problem installing it and connecting it. But it is definitely not a plug-in play. It does not work. I don’t know if it needs to be turned on with a gap tool? I don’t know if this is only the switching unit and there is a memory module installed under the seat like many American vehicles have. But to answer everyone’s question, not as simple as simply plug-in play.

I was able to figure out the memory seat add-on for my 2012 HSE. Parts needed are the door-card memory switch as mentioned earlier, plus some other bits. The fastest way to add memory is to purchase the seat base frame from a LUX that had the memory function, since it will have all the things needed to work. Otherwise, you will need the seat memory module LR025958 which is located under the driver seat cushion, the complete wire harness that is also under the seat, i used one from a 2014 AH22-14B719-ADA. you will know it is the correct harness if it has four wires going to the seat motors as pictured below, not just 2 wire used in the non-memory units and if it has the green plug going to the outside motor as seen in the picture here.
I ended up using the entire 2014 LUX seat frame and cushions so i could add the side bolsters. If you keep your non-memory seat back, you will need to swap/re-pin the plug ends of your upper seat back to match the new harness.
Side Note: this only provides seat memory, the mirror and the steering wheel will still be dumb. IF you are getting everything from a donor LUX, you might try getting the harness and switches that feed the mirror and steering.
