After driving off road and then driving over some bad wash boards, My 2000 discovery dashboard light up with the ABS, TC & HDC.
The TC and ABS appear to be working but not the HDC.
Before I run to the dealer I thought I would ask if there is anything simple that it might be

2000 Discovery series II
98,000 miles
No modification yet.

Thanks for any help

Sounds to me like the ABS sensors got dirty... try a good cleaning at the local pressure wash.... Around the front calipers first.

Ok just spend half an hour on the floor in the water at the car wash (looking like an idiot hehehe)
Lots of mud and dirt came out of both front and rear but the lights are still on
I shall try taking to a friends garage tomorrow and get it up on a lift and see if there is still dirt
or a loose sensor.
thanks for the advice.

You didn't look like an idiot... you probably looked more like someone who was trying to clean their vehicle, okay maybe a crazy person trying to clean their vehicle... but still, not an idiot.

Ok...
The story continues, I took the car to the dealer and asked them to find the fault they told me,
The rear pads where warn and needed replacing.
The rear rotas needed replacing.
The Right rear hub needed replacing.
The ECU had reprogramed its self into air suppension when the vehicle has springs.
Total cost would be $1200.00

Anyway, this morning I took it to my local frendly machanic. We took both rear wheels off and found lots of mud around the calipers (how could the dealer have seen if they where warn?)
After cleaning the pads and rotas show very little signs of ware. we removed both sensors and cleaned everything.
But the lights are still lite. The computer shows a code of I think P1560 not sure what this is.

so my question is could it be the hub or the sensor or could the computer really reprogram itself?
