changed out the original Hitachi compressor today with a HD Hitachi style compressor from Lucky8.

prior to changing the compressor, i was getting occasional codes stating the compressor was too slow to fill. i thought i had screen shot the code and exact language, but can't find it on my phone.

i pulled the compressor relay, disconnected the OG compressor, installed the new compressor, installed the new relay, and fired up the LR4.

cleared the codes and tried to change the ride height. after a few seconds i received the U3000-1D code. i switched back to the original relay. cleared the code and it immediately came back. repeated this with a second new relay that i had with the same results. i confirmed i had the Hitachi software. i did. updated it anyway. still no change.

did i get a bad compressor? should i switch back to the old one to test this? prior to switching out compressors i did not have the U3000-1D code.

Edit: i swapped the old compressor back in and cleared the code. U3000-1D came right back.

probably helpful to post what U3000-1D means.

Control Module-General electrical failure-circuit current out of range (AB).

This U3000-1D doesn't mention suspension at all, could it be unrelated to your changes (other than the timing of the suspension raise request)? Is your battery OK? Bear in mind these things are super sensitive to dying batteries. I assume all the electrical connectors are OK?

A quick search also yielded some other posts, does look like the U3000 is suspension related.

thanks for your help, all. especially, Rover Range.

it was a broken wire in the loom that runs near the rear left wheel well. wire is repaired and all is good. black wire with a green stripe.

i guess last time i was down at the farm, something got caught up there and tore it.
