OME lift 00, disco
I put the OME lift on my 01 Disco, with OME shocks and Heavy Springs on Front, cause of my winch, Mediums on the Rear. Then I added 265/75/16 tires. Opinions on best year for a used Disco
I installed an '04 CDL shifter in my '01 D2, it's Sweeeet, I can tell a big difference when it is engaged. Seems to have better traction and ETC doesn't come on as much.- DiscoveryLover

Searching for MAF
I got one a few weeks ago for my 2001 Disco2 from Nathan at www.discountbritishparts.com 502-396-7274. It was new, genuine MAF for $130 plus $8 for UPS Shipping. Not sure where you are, but he's located in Kentucky. Shipping was fast and he was good to deal with on the phone.- DiscoveryLover

OEM parts or not?
About a year ago I got a crack in my heated windshield, 2001 Disco2. I got mine replaced at SafeLite, and my insurance paid for everything. The windshield they put in was made by PPG I believe, but not sure if they the OEM ones for Land Rover or not. But I haven't had any troubles with this one...- DiscoveryLover

Error codes
I believe these are the codes that the Mass Air Flow Sensor (MAF) throws out when it's dirty. Joey recommends cleaning it with a non-residue electrical contact cleaner. I got a set of Michelin LTX M/S 255/65/16 tires from TireRack about a year ago. They're an All season tire, I have an extra set of mud tires I use for offroading. Front bumper winch mount
I have the regular steel cable on mine. But I don't see having a synthetic line to be a problem, would just need to get a Hawse Fairlead instead of a Roller Fairlead like I have on mine. Cutting the Front Bumper to fit is a pain, cause no template is given with the Winch Mount. Just have to trim a little bit at a time till you get it right. Here is one link from a guy that did it, but the pics are small...- DiscoveryLover

If you don't want to spend alot or want a full winch bumper, I got a Hidden/Discreet Winch Mount from www.DAP-inc.com for about $125, so I can use a regular bumper. Sounds good, just be careful, in some states, like West Virginia where I live, it's illegal to have any kind of Blue lights on your vehicle. They're reserved for Law Enforcement only.
