What do you think, new bushings needed?

Lol. My front sway bar bushings have seen better days... They weren't even that noisy, considering how destroyed they are. This was my second set, lasted me about 90K miles.I am still on the original bushings in the rear (132K miles currently.)

So what is the word on poly bushings? Do they ruin the ride too much to go with that?

I've already switched to poly for my LCAs (so far they've been flawless, but it's only been 40K miles), didn't want to overdo it with the sway bar as well, for fear of making the ride too stiff. I can definitely feel the ones in the LCAs - things got a bit firmer over bumps or road imperfections since the switch. It's not an unpleasant feeling - some may actually like the improved road "feel" better - but that's as firm as I am willing to go, personally.

I was thinking the same. I am considering using poly just for the durability and not having to worry about them for longer.

Im at ~53k miles and haven't even done the front brake pads yet. (Rears once).. So this spring I will get in there and do pads/rotors and see what else is up. I think I am pretty easy on my suspension. Iowa roads, almost no traffic and very little stop and go.

Same here in MI, my brakes last forever compared to a lot of rovers.
Although it sounds like I do have a premature rear LCA bushing wear going on right now. I was thinking I'd see how hard it was to replace just the bushing only. Atlantic british has a video of doing it.

On their own, they most likely won't.

Do you guys grease the oem rubber bushing before installing them? If so what type of grease?

You replace these yourself?? Which ones did you replace them with?

No, my indy shop did it while he was down there replacing front brakes, all fluids, spark plugs, etc. He used the factory rubber bushings, as pictured.
