If you have a Discovery I, you can put in an aftermarket door lock actuator, just replaced all 5 on my 98 they only cost 10 bucks each and only required me to change the wiring connector to make them work

I am at work atm, i will post the the site tonight when i get home, as for quality they seem to work great they are faster than the factory ones and for 10 bucks compared to a couple hundred for factory i figured I couldnt go wrong. I originally bought just one for my taildoor but was so pleased with how easy it was to install and how well it worked i ended up replacing the rest since they where all barely working anymore and slow to lock and unlock

Quick question, since this isn't a factory part, how hard was it to wire in? Any issues? How did it wire up? I may just order 5 of these if not that hard. My tail gate one has been dead for a long time, and drivers door is acting up. But I spend to much time helping others to work on my own stuff half the time.

It was cake to wire in the aftermarket actuator has 2 wires same as the factory i just put spade connectors on it and hit the remote button to see if it went up or down and then switched the wires if it pulled or pushed in the wrong direction. As for mounting it takes 2 screws just like the factory one that matched up perfectly to the factory mounting plate and the loop at the end just slips on to the pull rod.

I dont know how well they will hold up but 50 bucks to do all my doors versus i think i was qouted $240 for a single factory one, I dont care if i have to replace them every cpl years

They really are very quiet and quick operation, best fix I have done to my rover in a long time!

note the kit comes with some extra bits, as they where designed for adding power locks to a car that didnt come with power locks, but didnt use that stuff just went in my parts bins may come in handy sometime

Well now I wait as the actuators are on backorder. Not surprised as they retail for $50 but are discounted really deep.
