Hey Gang,

I know there are several threads on this and I have researched it but looking for someone with a similar experience.

I have a front suspension knock. I hear it at lower speeds, have feedback in the steering wheel, feels a little loose up there and hear it more offroad. I had all the ball joints replaced last week because there was play in them and thought to start there and see what it fixed or didn't. Feels tighter but still have the knocking. The control arm bushing seemed fine but maybe they are the culprit, also maybe the steering bushing because I feel it more in the steering wheel? I feel it on both front wheels so maybe the anti-sway bar bushings?

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

On mine I had this develope when it was still under warrenty so I am not positive this was the original problem however they diagnosed it as the "upper intermediate shaft." About 8 months later the lower a-arm bushes were bad enough to start clunking as well.

Ryan,

I am assuming the upper immediate shaft is part of the drivetrain? Did you replace the shaft or the bushings for the shaft.

Thanks much for the help...

I think Ryan is talking about the steering shaft. Had mine replaced as well.

Lower front control arms, arb bushings, front upper control arms, steering rack. I had all those checked for my front clunk. New front lower control arms and arb bushings solved 95% of the clunk.
