It's been a minute since I checked in. The LR4 gave me a scare last night as it wouldn't start. I had been filling it with stuff for a trip and left the hatch open for an extended period of time. The interior lights were in off mode, but it must have still somehow drained my battery. I gave it a jump and it started right up. Since we were headed out on a 2-hour drive from Bellingham to Seattle, it gave the alternator a chance to charge the battery.

The reason we were headed to Seattle is that my 11-year-old daughter, Isabella, was recently diagnosed with leukemia and is undergoing cancer treatment at Seattle Children's Hospital. Prayers and positive thoughts are welcome. Going to be making a lot of trips between Bellingham and Seattle in the LR4 over the next several months. I'll be leaning heavily into it. I want to believe that it is up to the task. Keep you posted on how that goes.

All the best for your daughter - that is going to be a very challenging road.

Just a heads up...
(Because I did not know this I purchased an unnecessary battery that is now sitting in the garage...)

From the mechanics manual for the 2016, pg 36.
"Do not rely on the generator to restore a discharged battery. For a generator to recharge a battery, it would take
in excess of eight hours continuous driving with no additional loads placed on the battery."

will keep your family in our thoughts and prayers. Kids are much more resilient than we adults and you are in good hands there.

PS- maybe consider just getting a new battery?...if you get so much as a 'low battery' warning or a sluggish start. When they go it can be a slow-rolling cascade of issues until it finally leaves you stranded. I'm a battery hog and mine died at three years from new. Might be best to just ease your mind on that!

Thanks for all your advice and moral support. The LR4 is hanging in there. Seems to be acting normally since getting jumped. The only thing I have noticed is the keyless entry is a little more sluggish than it has been in the past. My plan of attack is to buy a battery charger and charge it up to see if that makes a difference. If not, I'll buy a new battery.
