Is there any after market glass made for the top of an LR4?

Had mine replaced recently, Geico tried for nearly a month to find non OEM, they failed and I got LR glass.

I knew GEICO was the largest auto insurance provider in NY. Then I read in Car and Driver that GEICO provides radar and laser guns free of charge to the NY state troopers. They claim it is in the interest of keeping drivers safe. Of course it's a way to raise premiums with surcharges.

When my wife lived in NYC, she had 2 windshield claims in one year so GEICO put her in the assigned risk pool and doubled her premium.

My local Land Rover dealer sent out their windshield to Safelite, to repair my car.

The fact that its glass isnt relevant. The dealer should be providing parts to whomever is a paying customer. Is it even legal for them to say "sorry, unless we install it, we wont sell you that"?

Sometimes it seems like the dealerships are part of the Sales Prevention Department at Land Rover.

And for this reason, I have never, and will never use Geico insurance. They have been doing this crap since at least the '80's when I used to read Car and Driver cover to cover each month.

In case anyone isn't aware, I learned recently that there is an open recall on the top glass for my car (a 2012). Apparently there
is an adhesion issue or something, that can result in the glass separating or lifting. I don't know if your potential glass issue might be
helped by them having to address this recall, but I'd check to see if your car applies in any case.

Thanks for the heads up. I know you mentioned 2012 specifically, but I ran my old 2011's and my current 2013's VINs through the recall finder at LRUSA.com and fortunately nothing showed up for those model years.
