Been storming all week so I thought it would be a good time to take a ride to the basin. No one to buddy up with down here so if I want her off road then I go alone. I know its not a good idea and it has bitten me in the ass many times. I still can't get enough of it though. Here is the scenery. Oh and after todays ride I managed to get a "Check brake pad" indicator alert. Could I have possibly broken one of the sensors?

Its unlikely that you broke a pad sensor. They just wear down, they are not really in a position to be broken. However, it could be gunked up with mud?

Hum...That could be a huge possibility seeing as the mud is relentless down here. Its like brick mortar. In fact if I don't find a pressure washer soon after riding; the weight of the mud stuck in the rims throws my balance all out of wack. It happened after a plunge into an almost very unpleasant situation. Plus the pads only have about 8 grand on them. I plan to pull the wheels tomorrow to investigate. While I am at it anything else I should take a look at? On a 2nd note, I hate to hear that you are having to part with your Rover. I have wanted one since I was about 12 yrs old, I am 27 now, and now that I have one I couldn't imagine owning anything else. I really appreciate the knowledge you have shared on this forum and your own website. Extremely helpful. Thank you!

I broke a brake pad sensor monitor after a trip through some really thick mud. It caked up in the wheel and when it started to free itself because of the rotation of the tire it pressed the wire of the sensor into the drum of the wheel and it was over in no time. It was the right rear wheel. They are fairly easy to replace and cost about $15 ordered online. Let us know and great photos! If you are close to a brake job anyway just order the whole brake kit from Atlantic British.

Well I located the culprit. Rear passenger side sensor. I also noticed that the sensor wires have been previously Soldered together. Guess if you want to make sure its done right you have to do it yourself.

That what I did all day and all that accumulation was just after one ride. I fixed it. No worries. Just some nasty slop that I wheel in. Sure is fun though!!
