Hi guys, and girls. New here, posting for advice with my daughter’s disco 5. I have read the previous posts with suspension issues and cannot get the info I need. Basically the front end suspension is on the bump stops and a scan of the system shows the error code suggesting slow air tank filling and the system shuts down. The rear sits at normal height and can be activated manually with the rear switch.Actually resets to normal height after being lowered to access height after a short drive. The repair shop wanted to fit a new compressor ($3200 AUD) but said this might not be the problem! I think they were taking advantage of a young woman who attended on her own. Their story changed when I showed up and started asking questions. My questions here relate to the compressor, of the rear suspension is working then the compressor should be okay and have nothing to do with the distance of the lines to front as suggested by the repair shop. I am thinking front valve block or lines thereto. I am yet to get under the car, access in the next day. Where should I concentrate on? Thanks.

More than likely, front struts leaking.

Raise both front wheels off the ground.
Start engine, all doors closed. Activate suspension switch to off road.
Wait 5 min. Turn engine off.
Lower vehicle back down. Off jacks.
Spray soapy water around the top of the strut.
Also, listen for air leaks.

had the same error. First of all you can get a brand new compressor on Amazon for <200€ even in Europe. You just have to open the shells of the assembly. For me it turned out to be a leaking drier within the assembly. 30€ next day delivery at the local dealership. What I did: disassemble the compressor unit and its shells, then listen. I could hear the leak when using the air suspension..
