I am new to the forum. We recently traded in our 2007 LR3 for a 2011 LR4. There is no doubt about it the LR4 is quite a change. My question is regarding the LR4 rear tread plate accessory. I have searched and looked on Topix but there is no install directions. I am trying to figure out if this is a DIY install. Has anybody installed the rear stainless bumper tread plate? If so whats involved? Thanks.

Yes this is a DIY yourself install. You take off the standard tread plate and chisel away about 5 small raised plastic pieces. Then the stainless tread plate gets screwed down. The black rubber pieces cover the screws.

Newtfox if you install the tread plate please take some pics and post them here. Will help others in the future.
