Hello all, just dropped my 2010 LR4 off at a tire shop after I noticed air leaking(very slow leak) from front right tire. I couldn't find the leak so took it in. They found a hairline crack on inner area of 20" stormer wheel. Having the wheel sent off to be repaired.
In the mean time they put on the donut spare. After driving about a mile I got the ABS/Brake fault. I'm guessing this is due to the tire sizes being different and the computer not being able to tell the same speed of spare vs three other 275/55's?
Also, height mode message "Air Suspension Lowered for Safety". Truck is sitting normal. I just want to make sure the Goodyear shop didn't mess suspension up? Truck drives normal. Just no orange indicator light on normal height bar on suspension selector. I haven't been able to find much on this. Assuming everything will compute back to normal once full size tire is put back on. Any input would be appreciated.

Using a single tire of a different diameter than the remaining three should be for last-resort type emergencies only.

I'd guess the computer doesn't like it and thinks there's something wrong.

That's what I figured. I've since parked it in the garage and will be using another vehicle until my OEM wheel and tire are re-mounted. Thanks.

Yea, I wouldn't run that donut tire with non-standard tire sizes on the other wheels. That's asking for trouble. It essentially boils down to different rotational rates due to diameter differences. You end up with all sorts of mechanicals out of whack in the diffs and electronically with the rotational / speed sensors.

I'd look to get a spare wheel / tire of the same size to match to avoid this in the future.

Ordering a set of Compomotive 18's with full size spare. I'll have truck parked until they arrive. Not looking to further any problems with it.
