Driving my son's 2001 discovery I noticed what sounds like water flowing somewhere inside the vehicle, maybe behind the dash or between the fronts seats. Really strange! Any thoughts on what that is and how to fix it? When we first bought the vehicle last year, and the heater didn't work very well, we took some forum advice and ran the engine with the vehicle parked on a steep hill facing upwards. That worked like a charm and cleared what I assumed was some kind of air lock. Wonder if this water flowing sound is something related.
Also, service engine soon light goes on and off intermittently. Like for a couple of days it was on and now its off. Without doing anything to the vehicle. Thought I'd ask for any thoughts on this also.
Lastly, we've had the 3 amigos happen a few times since we bought it, but that seems to have gone away all by itself. Still happens periodically, like if you have to brake hard or something. But after restarting the engine, the lights stay off. Any thoughts? My thing is the enemy of good is better and so if its not broken, don't try to fix it. But I also want to be safe.
