Help please!
I have 2001 Disco II SE. Check engine light has been on for sometime. Now while driving SES light flashes and car will not go over 20-30 mph, when and if the light stops flashing i am able to speed up only to have SES light flash and do the same thing. Recently replaced crankshaft position sensor and MAF sensor. Since only 1 mechanic in my area getting this professionally worked on is too expensive. I have thought possibley changing the fuel filter but can not find it. Anyone have similar problems or any advice? It would be greatly appreciated!
Also driver passenger side door will NOT open. Not even by pulling the lock up. I took the door panel off which was hard doing while the door was closed and the lock hardware came out but cannot get the door to open! My car is falling apart!:frown:

I can't believe you have been driving it this way then ask us what is wrong without even getting your codes read!
Go to your local parts store and have the code read "TODAY" then get back to us with the fault code numbers.
For the door, you will need a new lock actuator.
Your car is not falling apart, you are just neglecting it, which can cost you big time in the end.

Mike is right. Get the codes read. The flashing SES I can often mean misfires. This may be something as simple as new plugs and wires. I think most local autoparts stores will read the codes for free. Write down what codes come up and then get back to the forum.
