I think they all are great products. I've got the Voyager Sliders and I love them. They dont protect as far inward either but I think they are a great product. I didnt want something that could vibrate but would protect the doors and sills. If I ever feel like im doing anything rough enough to mess up the compressor I would get something else to protect that or have a local shop make me something.
I totally agree - I loved my Voyager sliders and my Urban Offroad sliders. Both are very well built and offer nice protection. I am in the same boat, I typically avoid rock climbing or doing crazy obstacles that may damage the EAS. I am likely going to get the air tank cover from Asfir and hopefully my brother (he is welder/fabricator) can somehow make me something for the compressor. I just didn't want to deal with lifting the compressor, etc.

I just ordered the Voyager sliders with side step. Not any rock climbing to be had here in the desert, but plenty of curbs to hop over in traffic. I wanted a side step too, which also doubles as a partial deflector of stones being kicked up by my oversized tires!

I got the voyager slides a few weeks ago. See my thread regarding the fasteners and instructions.

One thing is that they are VERY heavy. Super beefy, but something like 70lbs each.

Beefy indeed! I was on the phone with them and was shocked to find they ship it to military APO (USPS) addresses. He said it weighed in at 68lb right at the post office weight limits! Hopefully they dont arrive to banged / scratched up. They cant be put in boxes, so I am nervous.

My Tactical Rovers rock sliders are approximately 100 lb each. Just "slightly heavier".
I was thinking about Voyager rock sliders too, but decided that I needed this extra protection provided by Tactical Rovers sliders ( especially compressor and air tank).

Thanks so much!

I just ordered a big roll of adhesive rubber - enough for the full length of the sliders - haha! I am going to get rid of that creak.

Thanks again - will keep you posted.

What is the issue that rubber is needed to fix?

Those of us with the Tactical 4x4 rock sliders have experienced some creaking sounds (upon acceleration) coming from the contact between the sliders and the body/frame. Since these sliders are heavy and have a lot of contact with the truck, it is not surprising that there are some normal creaks due to the rubbing and/or articulation.

Tactical 4x4 recommends putting rubber or foam strips where the slider comes in most contact with the body/frame - Umberto was able to do this with success and decreased the creaking. I have only slight creaking - you have to turn off the radio and A/C to hear it, but I am still planning to work on it.

My truck is pretty loud anyway because of the roof rack and the fact that I raised up the compressor, so it's not a big deal, but I will see if I can decrease some of the creaking noise.
