Range Rover 5.0 SC Timing Chain Rattle

Hello I have the dreaded rattling timing chain on my RR 5.0 SC engine. Contemplating my options and I could use some advice on the particulars.

The "ziptie method" of immobilizing the cams appeals to me, as I prefer to not remove the injectors and valve cover. Have others here done this repair and does replacing the timing tensioner and blade generally fix the rattle? I don't think the chain has stretched so much as it has too much slack.

I've read the DIY Timing chain replacement thread (https://www.landroverworld.org/threads/diy-timing-chain.31050/), it seems that timing chain tensioner can be a bit tricky? Make sure the piston extends fully and clicks. Other than that the job looks more or less straightforward. There are plenty of pitfalls with timing job however.

I would find a good rover mechanic. I have seen "Shops" that know what they are doing still screw it up.

Thanks for that, I'm planning to DIY. I know it will be a challenge, but the other option for this vehicle is selling it as is, likely for less than I'll pay for parts on the job.
