Just did a re-build <5k ago; that was the only source of oil seepage I saw down there.Vacuum pump
I did the front cross over in metal and had to bore out the lil coolant plug ****, did the rear cross over in metal and decided to swap out El cheapo sensor on it for the OEM one, the China sensor was press got and never went back in the same, the oem one leaked so I had to add coolant safe rtv. Later my front hose started weeping at the SC plastic y so when I changed that I added the aluminum thermostat, I tried changing the sensor/ probe for the oem one but it was a different diameter. It's been 15k since the thermostat and had no coolant issues.@Longtrail I’m still up in the air on switching to the upgraded metal parts for everything; I haven’t seen a lot of feedback on here for those that have converted. I probably need to scan the jag forums to get more results and see which brand is more popular (I think there are a few now)
Chains still feel tight using the finger test through the oil filler; 5-7k mi oil change intervals since I’ve owned it at 50k.
I may throw on some pulleys/tensioners while it’s apart, but I’m not too terribly concerned since those can be accessed without SC removal. The biggest concern is what should I do at this mileage that would require SC removal again within a short timeframe
