FYI, if the car is still under warranty, you are within the specified VIN range and the PTI module won't upgrade successfully, some dealers have swapped modules with new ones, charging only the hour of labor to the customer (as per TSB.) LRNA could probably pick up the tab if you insisted, the TSB clearly states that VINs 6A342881 through 8A475081 can be upgraded with the Phonebook over Bluetooth feature and if the software patch won't take for whatever reason your module should be considered defective and replaced under warranty.
I'm going to try and fight it again today LRNA. I remember them saying my car was within that range, which it is, however the module was one of the old modules that wouldn't accept the upgrade. I'll keep you posted on this.

so I'm in the midst of working with LRNA again on this. But I did pull my service report form when it was at the dealer. They put on there that the module was indeed a limited number that will not accept the upgrade and if I wanted it replaced per technical service LRNA that it would be $750 at my expense. So I'm dealing with the same case manager I had before and hopefully will know something next week.

Been working with LR on this via phone. What's the best way to convince my dealer to replace the pti module so it will accept the upgrade? Lr wants me to bring the car to dealer and have them call tech support which has been done already. Thank you for your help!

umbertob...I am pulling out my hair...after dealing with LRNA since April and my car visiting the dealer now 5 times and them calling tech support, we have no resolution. The dealer doesn't want to change out anything if they are not going to get paid or until LRNA confirms that switching out the module will fix the problem.
LRNA won't authorize anhythign and I am at a stand still. I don't want to give up because I know there has to be some loophole here to egt it swapped out. Any suggestions please?

BTW - I think I have found a correlation that if the install bluetooth unit show up in the phone as all CAPs ("LANDROVER"), its the older non-phone book version. "Landrover" is how the newer BT units show up on my iPhone.

...AND my LR3 is also within that VIN range, but will not take the update. :-(
