I have had my LR4 2011 for 2weeks and in the shop with an oil leak, mechanic says possibly the block or heads, Not a good start for a first time owner of the LR brand.

Moved to LR4 section as it would be more appropriate.

Yikes!

That doesn't sound very good. I'm sure Land Rover will take care of you during the process and after.

I've got about 6700 miles on mine and no issues to report other than a few electrical gremlins.

Good Luck and keep us posted with the findings/fixes.

Just heard from the dealer, they think a cracked O ring and so a new ring and cylinder is on the way , I am keeping my fingers crossed.

If I were you I would send certified letters to your LR dealer and LR USA saying that you would like to start the process of vehicle rejection. This will not only put your inconvenience / engine issue to the front but also let them know that you aren't satisfied with having such a repair after 2 weeks of ownership. Maybe they fix it, but if they don't the paper trail would be nice to have should this become an ever increasing problem. Just my $.02.
