...adaptive headlights are cool. ...but the key is the Xenon. The adaptive part is just gravy.

1. Congrats on finding your way to this forum, this is a great site with knowledgeable, and friendly people.

2. I am not aware of any major differences between 07 and 08. In 07 the LR3 got a couple nice little features different from 06 (like seats that can be adjusted without the key in the ignition, and one-touch passenger window operation), but that's about it.

3. You can learn a bit more about all things LR3 related here:
http://lr3tips.wordpress.com/

4. Definitely plan on replaceing the tires. LOL, "anything black and round" will indeed be an improvement over the stock GoodForOneYear Wrangler HP's

5. Please please please us it off road. Otherwise, you are only getting 50% value for your money. The LR3 is an exceptionally capable, versatile, comfortable vehicle. Use it to great advantage!

6. Here are some photos of LR3's doing it's thing in the outdoors:

What headlights options are available on the LR3?

NWoods- great site, thank you for the link!

Today I drove an 07 SE V8 7 seater. Silver w/ black leather. CPO 34k miles listed for $31,997. Had 6cd changer, cold weather package, new brakes and new hankook tires. What do you guys think of that price? Land Rover dealer has had it since april.

There are three options I think. Normal Halogens, fixed Xeons, and bi-directional xeons. I'm not 100% positive, but I think the bi-directional xeon's are only avail on the HSE model.

I had the stock Halogens, and then upgraded to an aftermarket H7 HID bulb kit with ballasts. Best upgrade I ever did after getting proper tires.

Nathan,
Your point about getting off-road and using the LR3's properly is spot-on. The LR's off-road capability is what sold me on it in the first place.
However, now that I'm in the Northeast I am challenged with finding places to actually go and use it off-road. Do you know of any?
Thanks.

I don't have any first hand knowledge of trails in your area, however, there seems to be a fairly active community of members from that area in the regional sub-forum on www.expeditionportal.com/forum

Also, should check with local LR clubs and maybe even the LR dealerships (they gotta run their Wheeler Day trips somewhere, right?)

IIRC, that seems a bit higher than what we bought ours for, but we did a little negotiating. I think we had closer to 32k miles and bought it for just over $30k.

We haven't talked price yet but I expect to pay around 30k for the vehicle after negotiating. Thanks for saying what you paid though!
