LR4 whining noise turned into a loud clicking noise now

Just bought this LR4 a few months back. The clicking noise just started today. I heard a slight whining before that seemed to be the idler pulley. Any ideas? I've attached a video. All these noises are while the vehicle idling.

Does it change with increased idle?

Yea it kinda increases. Comes in and out sometimes.

I'm hesitant to say chains/tensioners because that doesn't sound anything like the known bad ones I have heard, but damn, that is a loud clicking.

Free bump, because I want to know what that is.

Almost sounds like the fan or a pulley.

Hopefully its something simple and not engine internals.

That sounds bad. As a test, I would disconnect the serpentine belt and run the engine briefly, to see if the noise goes away. If so, that confirms it is an external belt-driven item. If not... uh-oh.

Thanks I'll try disconnecting the serpentine belt tomorrow. As a side note the wife drove it down the street to McDonalds a day after posting this and she didnt hear anything . I'll let you guys know. Appreciate the comments.

Damn, that sounded like the old York AC pump ready to kick a rod.
Something that loud and went silent on ya sounds really odd? Everything still working?
Broken crank by the speed of the pulley matching the sound? Any metallic looking like aluminum paint mixed in the oil? .....~~=o&o>......

Possibilities: Serpentine bearings- Check each for excess play/movement. A worn belt- check for tears. A defective tensioner: observe any excess movement. Failing viscous fan clutch.
Get a cheap stethoscope to try to isolate source.
