LR4 Starter Motor Hose Attachment

I noticed that the starter on the LR4 has a hose ****** on it--where does it go? What is it used for? There is no return hose...

According to the starter schematics there's a breather tube that's supposed to go to the topside of the engine. Is yours disconnected perhaps or missing?
