There was a TSB out years ago to replace the fuel pumps for noise complaints. But I don’t think the fuel pumps make what I would describe as “knocking.” More of a metallic “ticking” or “tapping” noise caused by the tappets, but it can be quite loud. A pretty fast tempo. “Knocking” makes me think of something heavier.
