Well, I'm feeling better about what I just picked up - well I will tomorrow, on a '11 LUX w/ HD pk, Vision Pk & RSE + uhaul hitch with 2 sets of keys; all the bells. (one owner and LR serviced) Fuji White/Almond

Only 24k on the odometer and 26 months warranty left.

YIP YIP

what is RSE and what did you pay?

RSE = Rear Seat Entertainment - the factory headrest dvd system..

Lets just say in the low to mid 40's range.

For the same config but higher mileage (45K) I paid the same in Virginia...then paid another $1,500 for trucking some 2K miles across I-90, so ended up exactly mid-40's. Mine is Green Lux also with the Vision, HD, RSE, etc.

To me, ~$19K below list was fair for 45K miles with the config I wanted. As the price gets above 50K and/or one has to make compromises on options, simply ordering the config you want becomes easy logic.

Sorry for hijacking the thread, but it is the topic I'm struggling with:

I'll be ordering an LR4 HSE (HD Package, Orkney Grey exterior, Almond/Arabica & Black Lacquer interior) and a RRE Pure Plus (Navigation Package, Orkney Grey exterior, Almond/Espresso interior) when we relocate to Connecticut sometime in July.

This will be my first vehicle purchase in the U.S. How much should I expect to get off MSRP ($55K for the LR4 and $45K for the RRE), considering I'll be buying the 2 vehicles form the same dealer?

I bought my first Discovery from Land Rover of Milford, CT and they were really great about discussing a deal and working with me on pricing. I have noticed some dealers (or should I say salespeople, general managers, etc.) are just not as willing.

Since you are buying two vehicles, I would definitely think you should be able to get at least $3,000-$5,000 (hopefully closer to $5,000) off MSRP, especially if there are left over 2013s on the lot. It won't be long after that (sometime in the Fall) that the 2014s will start to roll in, so I think you are in a good position timing wise.

I will miss dreaming about your TDV6, but excited about your upcoming move. Hopefully sometime I am visiting my family in MA and some folks in CT, I can say hi.

Regards, David

Looking forward to meet you, David

I also want to give the V8 a try... I love my TDV6, but the V8 sounds interesting

I got my first quote and the dealer is offering about $3K off on both vehicles (not on each one, but combined). So it is about 3% off... I was hoping to do better :frown: Do you think it's possible?

Not sure what financing terms I can get, since I do not have credit history in the U.S., so I'm thinking unless I can get 2% or less, for a 36-month term, I'll pay cash. Any thoughts?

That sounds like pretty fair deal on a '13 (two of them.) You may need to be here at least a year to get 2% financing... but hey, today, getting really good loans at super low rates seems pretty easy. Usually to qualify for 2% you need a pretty good credit history and a credit score of 725-to-750-ish. Thank you Fed. :)
