intermittent brake warning light

whilst driving today to my daughter's 8:30 am soccer game the brake light came on for a bit and then shut off. it did this several times. i haven't noticed any problems with the braking and the e-brake is not engaged. the owner's manual says if this light comes on there is a problem with the braking system. i assume that if there was a problem the light would come on and stay on. am i wrong? why would the brake light come on intermittently? perhaps i'll try a brake fluid flush. not sure of the maintenance history of this truck. seems to have been well taken cared for.

brake fluid is probably low or needs flushed.

You may want to check to make sure you don't have brake line leak either.

topped off the brake fluid and the light went away. will get a flush done soon.
