Hello folks

I just joined up because I might be recieving the 'family' LR. It was my grandfather's and when he died a few years ago it became my mother's. My mother is moving and won't have the space or desire to try and keep it in Miami so she is considering sending it back out to AZ (where it's lived most of it's life) to be with me.

Other then the then the fact that it would push one of my cars out of the garage if it came out here I'm delighted. The wife and I have thought it would be a task to try and slowly restore the LR because it's cosemtics are not up to par. I have started to look around and gather information about the LR to prepare for when it arrives.

I guess I should start with a simple question. How do I know what series the LR is? It's a 1965.

There is no charge for this service, but please bear in mind that it is voluntary and could therefore take a few weeks. Gaydon motor heritage museum over here in the UK offer something similar for around the £25 mark. Hope this helps

Thanks a bunch this will be real neat information, I just had a conversation with my mother and she is going to go ahead and give me the LR. The question now is will she get the clutch fixed before shipping or will I have to do it

IIa is my favorite "normal" Rover -- Lightweights like Roy's are my overall favorite...even more than my Disco or Rangie Classics...
