The manual says the opposite, suspension should be in off-road height when changing a tire.
I follow what the manual says as noted above, select off-road mode, then lift the truck. I don't know what the technical reason is for this, but it seems easy enough.
That said, after several bad experiences many years ago at multiple different tire shops, I never, EVER bring my vehicle to them. I remove the wheels at home, and bring loose wheels to the shop. That way they can't damage anything by lifting the vehicle improperly. My bad experiences were all with cars that have specific lift points the shops ignored... given the LR4 has body-on-frame and it's pretty hard to screw up lifting at the frame, it's likely not a concern for the truck.
