There is no computer reset of the sensors needed - the Bible has a good write up on the sensors - the sensors are just a piece of metal that touches when the pads are worn and becomes open circuit. Jumping across the two terminals at the upper plug turns the light off permanently - but there are two sensors, one at the front, the other at the rear, hence a light that stays on suggests the other sensor or both.
Also below is a link to a brake parts pdf I made up that you can modify as you wish.
I also used Akebono pads and solid vented stock rotors; no dust and it seems to still stop. It is probably best to install new sensors when you install new rotors.
