I have a bit of experience in this department in my previous offroader I had installed the viair 450c compressor and 2.5 gallon tank combination hoping for better performance than a standalone compressor, however, what I found is that the tank made no difference when inflating tires, Ok sure maybe the first tire was a little quicker with it but past that it was no faster.

Actually it is notably slower than their 440P standalone compressor

IMO unless you are running air lockers or some kind of obnoxious air horn there is really no need for the tank ... and when youre just airing tires the tire is essentially the tank so why fill one tank just to fill another?

and no, even with the tank an OBA system is really not good with airtools either unless of course you are only operating a pneumatic nailer

after testing a few of the different options out there I think the Viair ones are the best value and best performing I never had one service issue with mine. To me the offerings by ARB and Warn are just charging too high a premium for a name
