I bought a new pair of wiper arms from AB since I was having my glass replaced. They never showed up at the glass shop, even though the wiper blades did. I just got my brakes done from a buddy of mine that owns a local garage and oddly enough the wiper arms got sent there instead, along with the brake kit I ordered. When I went to pick up the LR4 from the brake job they did today, I was surprised to see they had replaced the wiper arms as well (I was told by the AB rep they had gotten lost in delivery and I would be refunded). The thing is, the old arms were fine, just weathered, but when I walked into the shop and saw they had replaced the old wiper arms with new, I was blown away. It's a small detail and most times that kind of stuff escapes me, just gets lost in the overall eye wash, but man did those new arms pop.
That's something I've come to notice with this LR4 small, seemingly imperceptible, things can really upgrade the look and feel of the vehicle when replaced or leave it looking a bit shabby when they aren't. For instance, I felt the same way about the windshield shroud when it got replaced. The old one looked fine. It was just discolored and weathered looking, like it was intended to match the gray trim along the bottom of the body. When I replaced it with the new black one, it made a noticeable difference. The LR4 is starting to look closer to new condition than over a decade old.
