200,000 mile service advice

I’ve read through the threads of how many miles people have and the common issues associated with high mileage but does anyone have a good “list of service items” to check over and do? Currently have 195k on my 2011 LR4. I’ve recently done quite a bit of stuff to it but was curious what other people recommend. And if there is a thread on this already please point me in the right direction.

The deputy secretery of the DEP in our state brought some of this stuff back from a trip to Russia in 2000. It was used in the Russian military at the time (was not sold in the US). We used a 1988 F250 work truck and he used his diesel Mercedes sedan as test vehicles.

It's basically nano-particle ceramic powder in a diesel-like suspension but it does seem to increase engine compression in older trucks.

We have continued to use it in work trucks ever since. I have 164k on my LR3 but I have not felt the need yet, but when I do I will put some in mine for sure.

• Front Differential Fluids
• Rear Differential Fluids
• Transfer Case Fluids
• Transmission Filter and Drain/Fill of fluid
• Coolant drain/fill, system pressure check
• Brake fluid
• Change air filters
• Cabin filter replacement
• Engine treatments BG EPR, then oil change
• Throttle body cleaning
• Power Steering Fluid
• Check struts for leaking
• Check air bags for signs of dry rot
• pull eas fuse for 48 hours to check for leaks in air suspension
• check eas tank for signs of rust.
• visual inspection of eas air lines and fittings, distribution blocks
• check suspension bushes/joints for play
• check wheel hubs for play (bearings tend to need replacing earlier on L319)
• inspect brake rotors and pads for wear, replace together
• inspect brake lines, check for dry rot
• check axles, cv joints, boots, etc
• check for leaks around the transmission, the wire harness connector sleeve
• Check for play and wear in driveline axles.
• inspect the exhaust system for damage/rust/leaks
• check belts for wear, replace
• check water pump for leaks, should replace at some reasonable interval/ 100k
• check plastic cooling system parts, front and rear coolant crossover pipes (good way to do this is when you vacuum fill the coolant system, it can do a pressure test)
• Spark plugs and wires replaced at interval
• Direct injection engines get bad carbon buildup on the back of the valves, walniut blast or some type of cleanup can help the valves seat better, they can get blocked up in some cases
• Fuel injectors can be tested for flow. BG44k treatments at minimum. Could have them pulled and cleaned or replaced.
• Battery condition, clean terminals, tight grounds
• Clean out the nooks and cranes of the battery boxes and behind them where the control modules and wire harnesses live. Don't want critters or water or rot back there. Drains need to be clear.
• Check door and body water drains. Sun roof water drains clean.
• Check bulbs, have a spare brake sensor. Check fuses.
• check all the door seals

But that's just what I could come up with off the top of my head.

My plugs looked ok at 160k kms (100k miles) but it was time for a new set. Every 100k miles seems about right for them.

Recently had an injector stick open( which was a nightmare to say the least‍ Fuel filled the #8 cylinder and hydro locked the engine)
so all8 injectors got replaced.
All sparks plugs and coils
I’ve done all the fluids( diffs transfer case and coolant)
only thing on the coolant system I didn’t replace was the rear crossover pipe( didn’t see it had one till after everything was back together) is it something I should be concerned with and replace preemptively?
Replaced the water pump, thermostat( to upgrade design) the little oil cooler connector.
Also have done all ball joints, tie rod ends, brakes, rotors, fluid flush, caliper rebuild with new pistons and seals
various pulleys on the front of the motor when they start making noise. New starter
oil changes every 5000 miles
......I could go on for hours( and thousands of dollars‍)

also using a code reader I can view live data and my cat temps hover around 1700 degrees( if I park on grass even in off-road height it will **** and burn the grass in a matter of 10-15 minutes) never remember it doing that before. Anyone ever looked at the temps on their LR4 idling

@Krill I feel your pain, had an injector stick open on a trip about 800 miles from home... no fun!

Check your sunroof drains folks! I had no idea that I had a leak in my passenger foot well, I never sit there. Truck is currently at the Stealer, seats are all out, carpet is out drying and the headliner as well. Car was immobilized and they can't seem to figure out what causing the issue.

Only positive is that they gave me a loaner, a raised station wagon know as the Velar

Just had my drivers side bank have random misfires on all four cylinders. Original injectors with 133k on them. Assuming it’s an injector stuck open. Strong fuel smell and smoking out tailpipe. Literally happened as I pulled on my street. Had injectors on my list as a next to do. Anyone have other thoughts as to cause or am I on the right track?

injectors and slide hammer tool ordered. Open to any other thoughts.
