Low tire pressure indicator light didn't shut off

I don't trust any jack enough to go under the car without a jack stand. The factory jack is fine for changing a tire, and the tool kit comes with wheel chocks to use on the opposite corner to prevent rolling back.

    Tech inspection failed

The OEM are made by Lemforder. If you buy those, they are identical except they take an angle grinder to the Land Rover logo and then paint. The Lemforder ones are about $200 each from FCPEuro, complete with balljoint and bushings. Sounds like your shop is pretty dodgy.

    Can't get into Extended mode

There should be no drop, but the car will make adjustments if needed while "off". To perform the test properly, you raise it to off-road height and pull the fuse to the EAS controller (fuse box next to the battery under the hood), measure the heights and then let it sit. It should hold...

    Can't get into Extended mode

I have 117k on my 2012, original air bags as far as I know. New compressor though, and that's an easy replacement. The compressor generally won't just fail suddenly, it starts to wear out and be less efficient and you get codes that things are taking too long. Air bag (or air line) failure...

    2016 LR4 Dead... need help!

We bought our lr4 in 2017 with a battery of unknown age. It died in 2023, a good run in my book. Many short trips, left parked for weeks on end. It is our family road trip vehicle so does occasionally go on many hour trips. Charging system seems OK to me.

    Can't get into Extended mode

Off-road height, not extended, though. It's just to keep you from having to crank the jack with a load on it as much, you can certainly do it from access height if you wanted.

    Can't get into Extended mode

I have that jack and it works well in the garage. You're not taking that jack on the road with you though!

    Can't get into Extended mode

Droop is droop, you can lift a wheel off the ground in any suspension mode, but starting with the suspension in off-road or extended height means you're not lifting a load as far, but that's it. Just keep cranking and you'll get there.

    Can't get into Extended mode

A smaller bottle jack under the lower control arm looks like a much more expedient way of lifting just one wheel off the ground without dealing with droop.

    Can't get into Extended mode

You don't need extra blocks to get the wheels off the ground with the factory jack, you just need to keep cranking it. The block is just to keep it from sinking into the ground.

    Can't get into Extended mode

I've found the factory jack to be quite satisfactory, especially since it has positive engagement in the frame thanks to the central dowel going into holes in the frame rail. The footprint is small if you're on loose ground, but the same can be said for a lot of bottle jacks. The biggest issue...

Anyone end up buying their Grenadier order

I saw a GX550 recently and thought it was pretty good looking. Do the rear seats create a flat load space?

Front Control Arm Replacement on LR4 and saw a warning light come on

Both upper and lower control arms, or just the lower? The height sensors connect to the upper arm. Though I'd expect if they broke something it would be consistent. Do you have a way of reading the code?

Help identifying sound coming from engine bay

with the engine off, does the cooling fan spin freely, or does it rub on the shroud? The other thing it could be is one of the idler pulleys for the serpentine belt going bad. Release the belt, and then see if all pulley spin freely.

Cable hanging down (damaged) from my rear passenger wheel well (Update: Resolved!)

Nope, just one per side, the assumption is the axles wear about the same side to side.

Cable hanging down (damaged) from my rear passenger wheel well (Update: Resolved!)

Looks like the rear brake wear sensor. The warning light likely came on while the thing was coming loose but now that it's dangling and doesn't have a connection to ground it's "reset".

2015 Land Rover LR4 HSE- Thinking about buying, does the engine sound right? https://youtu.be/wqjUb-qWbxE

Also a transmission pan leak might be indicative of a prior pan swap/fluid flush, which would likely be a positive indicator that the prior owner at least tried to keep it maintained.

    2015 LR4 SCV6 Gas Mileage

Mine is off by quite a bit, I use fuelly to track actual, and for the most part it seems consistent. I'm lucky to get 17 on the highway, around town it's more like 11. What's the procedure for correcting it using the IID tool?
