Inner CV joint separated during lower control arm replacement
With both front wheels off the ground, you should be able to rotate the wheel hub while pushing inward on the CV shaft. This should help the teeth on the shaft line up with the CV joint. -

I have the Terrafirma kits from Lucky8. The quality of the kits is very good and comes with all new hardware for mounting. My stock brake lines weren’t leaking, but definitely had some dry rot and cracking that I didn’t notice until taking them off. -
