Do let us know if you find em all! I get remote hijinx more than I'm comfortable with and every time I'm off-road, I have to push to the far back of my mind what happens if the truck decides not to detect my key for starting...
I think there's an antenna someplace in the rear bumper cover area that detects if the fob is in close enough proximity to unlock. The fob sometimes isn't detected, or may be blocked. Happens to me regularly if my key is buried in my gear.
Does anyone else not live dangerously and drive around civilization without their spare?? Must just be me.
Mine's an emergency thing and I don't do the 5 tire rotation rodeo.
Yeah not sure about terra firma. My setup is a custom fab deal welded into the Tactical 4x4 bumper. I believe we used 4xInnovations mount which is super stout. It allows me to just unbolt the one large bolt holding the hinge in place and pull it all off. If we're the same, schlepping our kids'...
It's a PITA, I'll tell you. In fact, I find it such a pain that's it's easier for me to keep the carrier removed for daily life and only re-install it when "adventuring" beyond the mall. The note is that this is my daily commuter and family battle wagon in town. I then add two Traild tanks in...
I don't think I made a post, but I've got paddles on mine. GAP charges a few extra bucks for the programming to enable paddles. You really just need the paddles, paddle harness, and the rear steering wheel cowel from a 14-16 with the paddle cut-outs. PowerfulUK was selling a kit for a while.
I tried a direct swap with a ‘16 wheel. Got it all hooked up but got errors saying cruise control and something else was inactive or non-opp. I can’t remember which. Something about the control packs obviously. I didn’t dig into it and didn’t want to swap out my control packs into the new wheel.
NM. I found the ground trees on lower passenger side column under lower right trim panel in passenger footwell. ✅

I’ve got my screen in and ready to tackle hardwiring, but where behind the glove box did you find a ground to connect to? I’ve got my converter, add a fuse and stuff ready, but...
I just got a Carplay screen of AMZ in the 10.2 size discussed above. It had a $20 off coupon was was $70 delivered so I figured I'd try it. Preliminarily it seems OK. The thing I wanted to understand was the audio. So unfortunately to have the CarPlay audio go through the truck's speakers, I...
That's interesting. I was looking at trying one this week, but I'd want my phone calls to go through the truck's system, with the Carplay for navigation only. Wonder if you can connect that way.
I'm pretty dumb on electrical stuff, but at this price point, I'm interested. I understand this is a standalone device, but can I get the "bluetooth for dummies" explanation for how the iphone would work with both the truck's system and the screen? Second question, where does one get one of the...
Hi. Not sure of weight capacities, but check out Frontrunner or Gobi ladders. I have a Gobi and it’s great. Looks like their designs are similar and should clear the Baja. Good luck!
Yes yes, stick to 5k going forward. Motor mounts, and if I were you I'd study up on trans fluid change at that mileage and get ready to tackle that asap.
Many people are saying Kirkland Synthetic is just repackaged Rover oil...or maybe that's just what I tell myself at checkout. You decide which is true!
