I should have taken a picture. They were not too bad. No weirdness to speak of although I didn’t check them for electrode degradation. Nothing jumped out anyway. Nothing fouled. -

Replaced the plugs at 98k miles. I swear it’s smoother and stronger accelerating. By like 10%. Am I crazy? Didn’t think it would do anything. -
FYI fan relay went bad at 98k
Fan relay. Pull up to stoplight, no fan, condenser gets hot , compressor gets hot, kicks on and off to no avail, blows hot. We switched the fan and AC relays to see if it would kick on with a new one. It did. -

AC started blowing warm at stops. Thought it was the fan clutch. Turned out it was just the relay. Put the new fan in anyway. But check the relay because it didn’t throw any codes! -

My fan clutch just went. 98ish k miles for anecdotal reference on how long they last. No longer engages and you can stop it easily while the engine is running. -

I think you answered your own question. If the dealer is your choice then let them do it. No sense in breaking all that stuff apart twice. This is assuming you believe them (it’s not unbelievable) and you have the money and you will keep the car for a few years. -
What oil are you using?
Me. No issues. In a month I’ll post my lab results from 18k miles on one filter with amsoil. -

As for the discrepancy in part prices I think the dealers believe that if you show up at the counter you need this part quickly and therefore can charge a premium. If you order online and can wait then it’s lowest price ok. -
Rhino / ox hitch option
Use a grinder. I used a small Milwaukee cordless and trimmed my Thule by maybe a 1/4” to get it to fit. -

all that and MPG. you will be lucky to get 11 or 12mpg if you drive it normal. If you put 35" or 37" tires on it you will be under 10mpg. big truck that is not as good off-road as a raptor, is heavier, gets worse mpg, more truck like ride, and only has 200lbs more payload capacity which... -

Not likely. My 7 year old walks on it. Bag is too spread out to crack it. Unless you are carrying anvils or something. -

Three years goes by real quick. 95k miles now. Truck runs strong and I had to do LCa again, this tune went with poly bushings. Engine is super strong. Transmission smooth (after the zip kit and fluid swap). Only thing bugging me is the intermittent cruise control bug. -

Cruise control unavailable?
Update. Cleared all codes. This is the only one that popped after driving it and attempting to use the cruise control to no avail. -

Then there is the upcoming grand wagoneer. Which is intriguing because it is squared off and bigger than the lr4 but tows 10k lbs and the 6.4 srt hemi has essentially the same hp (470) as my tuned scv6. And likely has a reasonable 4wd system given that it is a Jeep. And since LR and Jeep are... -

Lr4 is better in most ways except reliability. The LC is kind of a dinosaur. Gas hog. Low HP. Horrible third row. Etc. If they redesign it I’ll look at it. But I own an lr4. So it would be no upgrade.
