Switching to LEDs for headlights 2010 lr4

Why did you switch from HID to LED? What's the candlepower difference?

I assumed Louis meant halogen to LED. I've never heard of any HID to LED conversions, and the candlepower/lumens difference should not be significant. I'm also not sure if LED would work properly in an HID projector. Google implies it's generally not a good idea:

Yes, but it is not recommended unless you change your entire headlight assembly. HID bulbs are almost always in projector-style headlights for which LEDs do not perform well and can be very dim.​

That, and HID bulbs have huge candlepower ratings. Not sure any of the LED bulbs have reliably gotten that high, yet.

Yes gsxr is correct. I do mean halogen to led. The lr4 I have is the base unit although it does have the 3rd row and ac controls for the rear. I changed the low beams to led because it does provide much more clarity.

Side note: I was able to buy a hse navigation display, cd unit and radio from a salvage unit. It was tested in front of me so I know it works. I disassembled the entire dash thinking it might be just plug and play. boy was I wrong. Does anyone know how I could make it work . The salvage is exactly the same lr4 year except it’s hse vs mine being base(se)

I also got my halo to work by putting a led strip in the area.
