In CAN $'s My 2010LR4 has cost me:
$0.25 per km in depreciation (Acquired price - est. sale price) so about $0.307 US$ per mile.
maintenance (everything including tires etc) $0.09 per km so $0.135 US$ per mile
So together my LR4 has cost me:
about $0.34 CAN per km or $0.44 US per mile.
My Ridgeline (2011)
about $0.25 CAN per km or $0.31 per mile.
LR4 is a nice ride though.
Fuel, registration and insurance extra lol.
Based on the format and the hourly rate, this is definately a dealer. The problem is that a lot of dealers charge "book time" for repairs and do not charge the actual time spent on the vehicle. Case in point, $32.50 to secure wheel arches. What did they do, twist one of the snap-in anchors back into place - 30 second job?View attachment 9738Nothing to see here, just the bill from my annual car inspection.![]()
I track my service history in an app and attach scans of receipts but have not had the interest (or the nerve) to go back and number crunch on this level. C'mon, you guys are taking the fun out of this hobby! You DO see LR ownership as a hobby, right?![]()
I've not paid any money to anyone to do any work on my LR4 (late 2013). Admittedly, I just crossed 36k today, but still. Oil changes, front and rear pads, one brake flush, and a new set of tires. Some minor warranty work done, but that's it.
This fall I'll do more fluids (oil/diffs/transmission?), another brake flush.
