Have a 2013 LR4 HSE - 2nd owner, first time LR. Tend to take on my own mechanical work except for the really big stuff (engine rebuild). Currently has ~39k miles.
Was tempted by a single owner 2016 LR4 HSE LUX HD with BlackPack and 76k miles. It's a great price but I think the only thing holding me back would be the mileage.
I'm doing the right thing by keeping the 2013, right?
Had the '13 Lux HD (with 19") for about three years, and now am driving (well ok, mostly parked

) a '16 landmark HD, also for about three years.
I'd keep the '13 for two main reason:
The buttery smooth and torquey V8 (you'll know what I mean when you feel that effortlessness as you negotiate that steep ramp up to the freeway merge with your cabin full to capacity with seven humans but still with ease, zero driveline stress, and lightly depressed throttle as if you were the only cargo in the truck. When I experienced that the first time, had a little grin for a few seconds
2nd, I know peeps have gotten used to it, but I still miss resting my hand on the shifter. Important, as you are about to miss your exit ramp cuz you were enjoying that 70 mph smooth cruising way too much, and all you have to do now is throw the shifter into the Sport mode to automatically downshift for engaging the engine braking while you steer/direct the truck toward the rightmost exiting lane (with minimum distance left) with controlled and modulated braking without applying extra force or braking too hard, while still maintaining composure, stability, and sanity due to your lower-than-usual center of gravity (thanks to the world' only IBF).
With the shifter stick, you could downshift even more if need to by just clicking it back once. But with the rotary knob you are dependent on the pedals on the steering wheel and it will simply not work for you because these pedals will rotate and change position with the steering wheel movement. In fact, it would be downright dangerous to try to downshift via panels while you steer the truck during an emergency maneuver like this.
Disclaimer: Laws of physics still apply

. And If I ever find myself into a situation like this, I always, always make sure that its all clear all around and specially behind me way far back, and the blind spots, etc before attempting a maneuver like this. And if thats not the case, I simply continue to the next exit.
